Hi ,just got my car back from skoda , The EML light came on ( Funny little engine light ) car still drove Ok ,I took it to skoda for a diagnostic check they told me it had to have an update ? on the invoice it said fault with intake pipe ,modified intake pipe and fault now rectified , they just charged me for the diagnostic check , Has anyone heard of this fault / update .

It would really be best to ask at the Dealership what was done, and if the Service Desk staff can not explain then have the Master Tech explain.

What engine does the car have, a TSI or a TDI and what size of engine?

 

If i TDI has it had the VW Emissions Fix already, or have they gone and done that now.

Hi , Its A 2012 2.0 TDI 170 BHP  , It has had the update in 2017 before i bought it the garage just said it was an update ? 

As e-Roottoot says, your best option is to ask the garage directly for an explanation of what they did, if you want complete peace of mind.

 

It might be this procedure that they did, but it's only a guess given how limited the information they've given you at this point is.

Talked to a service tech and that is what they did , But why would they do it for nothing ? most unusual never had a dealer doing anything for free ?????
