hmm, makes it look like a gary'd up VW Bora :)

I like to super wide flared arches:thumbup:

shame you cant see a decent pic of the front bumper... i like the rest though... better than some of the **** attempts from other companies.

I actually like that a lot,love the wide arches:thumbup:

Fibreglass piece of crap!

Looks great, would consider that for mine, defo need big tarmac rally-style alloys and big exhaust though, how is it fixed to the car, is it all blended in or just painted and stuck on?

depends what sort of look your after, looking at the components on the ebay ad you bond the rear arches to the car, replace the front wings with the new items, swap the front and rear bumper and then paint them to match the car. the rear arches would be blended as per the pic above.

Thought so, just noticed blended rear arches on the pic above, are the bumpers full replacements or skins that go over the originals? For what you get it seems like good value, have sent message to the seller to see if the auction was just a one-off or if he has more of the same.

Octavia WRC kit now up again, same seller so follow his 'items for sale' link...

Anyone fitted this kit? I'd take the arches only but he seems not to be interrested selling only them. He has molds for the kit, or so I did understand.

Are the real ones fiberglass/carbon or metal?

Real WRC shells will be hand rolled/pressed steel stuff like we used to do at MSD for the Hyundai WRC cars.

If your fitting fibreglass wide arches I would imagine the standard arch would need to be cut away and an inner arch fabricated to join it back up again to do the job properly.

Nothing worse than looking under a wide arch kit and seeing the standard arch still in there.

I met a couple of the MSD guys when they were over with Natallie Barrett in Punchestown Rally Masters a few years back, sound guys  . I think one of them done/does the WRC commentary, you know when they finish the stage.

The front arches are not the problem that bothers me, replacing the originals is no hassle at all. But in the back the old really needs to be cutted away. I don't mind that either but I'd rather replace them with steel ones because the joint of fg/metal cracks 100%.

Too bad they can't be found anywhere:(

I mainly worked in he SVE dept building the Vectra GSI's etc. But Gary who sprayed my Pick Up whos a very good mate of mine used to build the shells up, hence hes rather handy with a welder.

Sound like a good man to know.
