Blind spot

Featured Replies

I think I posted this by mistake in the Superb II section.  Sorry.  My problem is that after each journey my car's blind spot monitor - the little symbol that illuminates when someone is overtaking me and is in my 'blind spot' - defaults to OFF.  So I have to re-set it to ON before every trip. Can anyone please offer a solution?

I’ve removed the other thread to avoid confusion.

One thing I wondered is if you have a different default profile set and you keep altering the wrong one? In saying that, I have occasionally seen it where various parts have been disabled with no proper reason why.

When I first got my car I had a the same problem. It worked fine for a while then a message on the dash & no blind spot indication. Then after re-setting in the infotainment menu it came back to life. This happened a few times before it settled down it's behaved itself since - touch wood.

Thanks for your replies, but the problem persists no matter how many times, and how carefully, I set it.

Do you have a tow bar fitted?

Yes; I have a detachable towbar. Would this affect the blind spot monitor, Kenny?
