Post car service, how do I "decontaminate" it?

Featured Replies

I had my car serviced today, when it is returned how thouroughly should it be cleaned.

It is something I had not thought of previously.

Do you mean how much should be sanitized to remove possible Covid germs? This should be in the procedure that the garage should do after the service.

If not minimum should be to wipe door handles, bonnet leaver, front seat(s) and steering wheel. Possibly also switches/buttons they may have tested. Of course the key-fob, unless it was placed in a plastic bag.

My car turned up, all handles shrouded in cling film and the steering wheel, gearchange, handbrake.

I wiped everything down anyway and the seat adjustment levers then drove around the block

with the windows open.
