Brake fluid warning light

Featured Replies

My brake fluid warning light came on and started pinging at me. Happened after driving for a few minutes.

Level was fine.

The front brake pads, discs and sensors were replaced at a garage.

warning light and pinging come back on, but not so quickly now.

garage said there was no error codes on the diagnostics.

They said maybe neen a new sensor on the reserve itself. They couldn't find the part and said have a look on eBay and they would fit it for free.

Does anybody know if that would solve the problem or can suggest anything else?

Also can you have too much brake fluid in it? It's hard to see where the level is. My fluid is quite high and can see it when I take the cap off.

Handbrake switch? Maybe it thinks the handbrake is still on and flashes to warn you?

Comes on even when the car is stationary and is a much sharper noise so I wouldn't of thought so

I see. Check all ABS related fuses. If you're lucky one of them might have just blown.

Thanks will do. And if I'm unlucky?

I dont know what else to say. Just that fuses are a good place to check first. Plenty of times its just been blown fuses for me in general.
