Trouble auto locking car

Featured Replies

Has anybody had trouble  locking the car via touching the button on the handle, only had the car a couple of weeks and unlock is fine, but locking by that method does not alway's work, so have to use the button on the key, read that part of the manual but no hints there.

Ensure you only touch the dimple - nothing else!

Cheers John,  just been out and tried it , seems ok, will give it a few days, thanks for the tip...

It comes so natural to grab the handle while touching the sensor with the thumb... :)

Back of the hand works best for me........

Meerest touch with the back of fingers for me.

My partner had this trouble too, maybe still does, she couldn't understand that you don't grip the handle when locking the car.

@Bryfly Fingers between handle and door to unlock

Finger (only one needed) by rectangular bit on outside

(if start waving other fingers around the handle it will unlock again, as don’t actually have to touch the handle).

Stand by the boot, and will unlock boot only (for putting shopping in), so don’t walk around the back of the car and pause as might get unlocked boot.
