2021 Octavia VRS wind deflectors

Featured Replies

Hi peeps

New here and to the ownership of a new 2021 Octavia VRS,

not sure whether this has been posted before but does anyone know where I can get a set of wind deflectors from (I have the estate version)

I would like a set of climair ones as I used to have them on my focus RS, as if my memory serves me right the heiko ones have those little clip thingys which I wasn't a fan of.

If there's nothing else available obviously I'll have to settle for the heiko ones, so if anyone has any links or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Welcome. Loddy!

Be prepared for posts asking why on earth would you want spoil the looks of your car with these - my view is I wouldn't do it, but it's your car,  it's your choice.

Hi!

More of a practicality thing I vape and drive a lot with the windows cracked so seems logical to me to stop spray flicking inside.

Also probably a outdated mod but I was in the Ford scene a few years ago and everyone seemed to rock the wind deflector look which imo wasn't too gawdy looking, especially with darker tints on the back ties it all in.

Nice one cheers I'll check them out 👍

Fair enough - better than all the clouds staying in the car!

If you haven't seen the superskoda website before, check the shipping prices. That could be another 10 euros or so.

Haha yeah something like that,

Cheers I'll do a bit of Google foo-ing and checkout the superskoda website.

SUPERSKODA.COM (kopacek.com) won’t post anything to the Uk over 2kgs or 50cm long

I was after a boot liner from them and couldn’t order it due to postage and

when I spoke to superskoda that was their reply

Did anyone notice how loud it gets in the car when driving with an open window? Having driver window open for 1/3 and at speed around 50-60 km/h it's already impossible to drive. It gets too loud inside the car.

 Easily fixed.

How?

Close the window.

Thanks. Didn't know I can do that.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Every car I've ever driven (hundreds) has been noisy with a window open, whether a few inches or all the way. It's just the way it is.

:D

Could be. Just that my previous car 2003 Honda Accord didn't do that. I was able to drive with a driver window open at quite high speeds. I was driving with not working air conditioning for two years.

Sorry again Ultra, had rather a cr@p day in the outside world, and took it out on your post. Very bad mannered of me.

TBH, my previous Saab 95 was awful with the windows open. Car was designed to be used with them closed and climate control running. Opening a window just created noise and did nothing for ventilation.

No problem at all.

Then it looks like I was just lucky with my previous car that I was able to drive with the window open. Otherwise I would be cooked from the inside out in the summer heat.

The Accord had a drag cd of 0.30 this generation Octavia is at 0.25, so it cuts through the air much cleaner.

The downside to this is when you open the window especially rear ones the whole airflow is completely disrupted, it has a term the Helmholtz resonance.

Much like blowing over a bottle top the air resonates at a high frequency, in a car it's more a thump due to the volume of air being displaced inside the vehicle.

@SkodaCB thanks. I think I will be able to live with the fact I can't drive with an open window. At least until air conditioning will work as it should. :D
