Skoda and Huawei P20 link

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I do not know what is wrong when I connect my Huawei P20 to the car computer system. I have a brand new car that I got a month ago (Ambition finish Mk4) . Sometime it work fine and android auto is displayed in the front screen (and all other features) and sometime not, the car displays the clock and refuses to connect to my smartphone. I have enabled bluetooth and  file transfer (using USB-C cable). This is really bothersome, because I even not have acces to radios ... say to nothing, indeed. To recover I have to stop the car and turn off the engine and like if It was quitting the car (sort of reset).

I did not find a scheme where I could make it work in all cases... it seems random.

You can hold the power button on the radio to reset it. Might be easier than turning off the ignition. I've had my p30 not playing any sound sometimes. Android auto isn't the best to be fair.

Yours sounds more like the car though. Get it booked in

to reset it

Is it a soft reset ?

The cable is brand new also, I do not think this is the issue. When I accept to share files on the phone, the car display a message like "Loading pending" or something like that, and then goes back to display the skoda clock, like link would have been failed (but no other message displays). Yes android auto does not seem to be super well finished (if I may say that)

Yes it's a soft reset. Hold power for 15 seconds or so.
