Skoda fabia bulb type?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I want to change the headlight bulbs in my 2012 Skoda fabia TDI but the information in the users manual is very confusing to me.. as you can see in the photo I posted below it gives 2 seperate columns for regular headlights and projector headlights, the former saying H4 and the latter saying H7... can someone help me figure this out as I don’t know what type of bulbs I need to buy8FD52CEF-57DE-4E1A-9DAC-229D97CDB5A3.thumb.jpeg.db24d73b42cd6ac83ba144d8d16262d1.jpeg

How many headlamp bulbs do you have on each side of the car?

Get some one to first put the headlights on dipped and look at where the light is coming from.

Then get them to turn the dipped beam off and put the main beam flash on.

If it is from exactly the same place you have one H4 bulb each side, An H4 bulb has two filaments.

If the dipped beam is on the outer half and the main beam is on the inner half of the light unit you have 2 H7's bulbs per side.

Thanks, AG Falco

that you!

Open bonnet and remove one of the rubber caps at the rear of the headlamp, pull off the connecting plug that goes to rear of the bulb,  if there are only 2 prongs on the bulb these are H7 bulbs,  if thee are 3 prongs on the bulb these are H4 bulbs, my old MK2 had H7 bulbs and dipped was achieved  by a flap in the headlamp, bulb retaining clip is a real pain to remove it clips on the headlamp bulb fitting and you have to press it towards the front of the car and inwards at the same time to release it

If your headlight looks like this.........H4
