Checklist approved used 2015 superb

Featured Replies

Hi everyone 👋

1st post on here I've just reserved a approved used 2015 diesel superb se ex. What should I be asking them?

I've already asked them to change the cambelt any other things I should be asking/checking? It the water pump change on the service schedule.

Also can the sound system software be updated or should it have been? Is the sound system the same version throughout all skodas I imagine the software has been tweaked since 2015!

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Maybe listen to the boot struts when they open and close. Mine made a odd sound and even though they both worked they were both replaced under warranty but the cost of them was over 1k.

The only other issue I still have is the drivers side chrome trim around the window has a habit of sliding back and catching on the back door which is really annoying. Skoda replaced it twice but it still does it. Silly issue to have but there you have it. I think it needs a new door seal.

I'm unsure on the sound system software. I've never updated mine or had it updated.

Everything else on the car has been OK so far. Oh, rear brakes. They seem to wear relatively quickly.

Rusty disks or grinding under braking, one touch working on all windows, there was a 2015 recall for washer jets, as mentioned chrome around windows, key present for any locknuts, peeling chrome on door handles, loud buzzing vibration from behind dash, all exterior door handles smooth opening, if rear wash wipe check for leaking into boot.

May sound like a lot, but you may have none of the above.
