Skoda Octavia mk3 vRS 2016 rear fog lights

Featured Replies

Hello,

I’m new here and I got some question.

I was checking my rear lights on Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI vRS 2016 today, if everything works at it has to and I saw some fault.

Fog light was on only on left side, but there is no fault on cockpit display, I check the light bulb on right side and it looks good.

It’s that normal? Do I have to use VCDS to turn on also right fog light?

I assume you're in a LHD country?

Stock behaviour is to only have one rear fog light on the drivers side. It's possible to enable the second using VCDS or similar :)

That's standard in your country.

But there may be a way to sort it........

Typo

If memory serves, LHD cars can’t activate just using VCDS as the second fog light was never installed. RHD vehicles have both installed however only one is coded to work by default.

The OP certainly seems to have a bulb fitted but obviously that doesn't mean there is a wire too ;)

Pretty easy to code and un-code it to check though.

If you change drive side in infotainment it swaps it over for when touring. I coded both mine to be on at the same time
