Finding door panel rivets

Could someone help me find rivets that hold the metal plate section on the front passenger door. This metal section in under the door card.

 

SO 2007 1.6 FSI.

Its generally quickest and easiest to go to the dealer/TPS for them, they're not expensive and you know they're the correct ones.

They're 6.4x10mm blind rivets, but the genuine skoda ones are slightly different to the off-the-shelf diy store versions and fit better

Also do you know the drill bit size to remove these rivets?

6.5mm

Get aluminium rivets not steel, unless you have a pro tool you'll have trouble popping them, they will outlive the car.

You are correct, my eyesight again :sadsmile:

 

I have set 4mm steel rivets by hand but you need to be Popeye, 6mm would definitely need my pneumatic rivetter.

I can only find 6.4mm X 12mm aluminium rivets, I assume these won't do, they need to be 10mm?

 

 

Can anybody find me 6.4 X 10mm aluminium blind rivets in the UK?

That is a good find. Many Skoda models probably use this same size/type so it might be handy to start a thread somewhere more 'general' like 'Handy Topics and Guides' and stick that link in there. Maybe also point out that the lazy tong style riveters make easier work of them?

I've used that ebay seller for a few things in the past; great range and great service. :)

What about a riveter, I can only find riveters that accept up to 4.8mm rivets, any ideas?
