Cup holders in the centre console

Featured Replies

This may have been spoken about previously but does any of the members here know what's the maximum diameter for a coffee Thermos to fit in the centre console ?

Im looking at one Thermos with the base diameter of 7cm which then tapers up towards the lid.

Sorry again if this has been mentioned previously in some other thread.

Just measure with a tape probably quickest way to get an answer

The Nespresso car cup I use is 63mm across the base, fits like the holder was built around the cup.

Thanks DSL, the one I'm looking at has a 70mm base, yes I can get a smaller one but thats not enough coffee for me lol

Luckily there are 2 cup holders for two cups of coffee at any one time.  And doubly lucky SWMBO doesn’t do coffee and thinks tea out of a steel cut tastes mingie. :D

No pics of it but I did buy a cheep steel car cup in Woolies when in your part of the world for 3 months early 2020.  Worked a treat and if anything kept the coffee too hot, but not bad for A$9.99!  Might fit.   Shame it got binned for return trip as hand baggage only.

@DSL yes lucky we have two holders. I may just have to measure the base of the holder and go from that re my choice. 8oz isn't enough coffee though haha

I'm sure the centre console cup holder unit can be removed from the car as it's reversible.

Just take it into the shop with you to see what fits.

Now that is good thinking.

A bit late but I've only recently encountered the same problem after buying my car, and this might help someone.

I bought loads from Amazon (their listings don't always seem to have accurate diameters). I returned most of them but kept this one which fits perfectly. Holds a good amount of liquid and fits in the cup holder snugly.

Crikey - £24…..!

A bit on the pricey side but not much more than other travel cups. And personally, I prefer that to an additional lump of plastic needed to accommodate larger bottles/cups.

Lots of Nespresso Nomad travel mugs on eBay, mostly at stupid prices considering they give them away every now and again.   At last count I think I’ve got 5.  Might be worth a cheeky punt on one.
