Cruise control and “mode”

Featured Replies

Since getting a new Ocatvia SE L in December the air con hasn’t worked so I had it in Skoda dealer today and they updated the software and gassed the air con so now it is working.

While driving home I noticed the speed limiter was selected instead of cruise control.  I cannot figure out how to select the cruise control again.  Also, the physical mode button on the dash is not working now.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Have the cruise switch on the left stalk set to on.

On yr steering wheel, press the button above the silver dial on the right. Menu will appear on your dash.

Use the silver spinner to scroll down to Cruise Control on the menu and press the silver spinner in to select.

Press the button above the silver spinner again to switch off menu.

There will be better names for these buttons, but I am not sure what they are!

There isn’t a switch to turn the cruise on on the left stalk

When impress that button on the steering wheel I only get two options, neither are for cruise control!

Not sure then sorrg, I thought the MK4 Octavia's would all be the same, just had a courtesy Fabia with the same layout as my Octavia.

Do you have ACC  (a second stalk on the left side) or is it on the end of the indicator stalk?

There is a second stalk on the left side which controls both speed limiter and cruise control.

So that’s different to the car I’m driving at the mo - so I can’t go and look at the settings (mine is at the dealers at the mo (kph/mph issue)) and I can’t remember the settings screens.

Sorry about that.

Hopefully some one on here will have the answer.

Make sure that the stalk is in the position towards you. Press the upper left button on the right side of the steering wheel. A menu for the assist systems should pop up. Choose the cruise control.

The stalk is towards me and “lim” is displayed on the screen.  Then I press the upper left button but only Lane Assist and Front Assist are shown.   See picture.

And CC should be exactly in this menu. I think you need to go back to your dealer unfortunately.
