Car broke down yesterday engine won't rev and brake pedal is solid anyone any idea what the problem is

Sounds like the brake servo vacuum pipe has fallen apart. Follow it back from the brake servo towards the engine.

    That was the first thing I checked I removed it and found nothing wrong with it

    Which engine are we talking about, if it's a diesel then you may have a vacuum pump failure.

    Its a 1.2 petrol 2008
