Boot nets

Featured Replies

Hi

Have just bough 2019 technology dsg 1.0 hatch, and very happy 😊 would like to get some nets for boot but feel they are over priced via Skoda.  Has anyone purchased any alternatives, I think the ‘boot net programme’ maybe comes with three nets...priced at nearly £50!!! I just feel this is too much for a net.

there are three nets. the big one for the floor and the two vertical ones that go side-to-side. All have clips and the vertical ones are a "pocket". I don't see the price issue here, they're nice and elastic, well made, and take abuse well. I had a set in the old car and have them in the new one and would miss them if they weren't there.

I currently have one in the estate, the side-to-side at the rear. It's great for shopping.

Well maybe take the plunge and buy but still think that at £48 they are over priced.

Loads of different sized nets with clip or velcro fixings (go on boot sides and rear seat backs) on Aliexpress, for a couple of ££ each.  I got several for under £25, all excellent quality.

Thanks for that....sounds cheaper option.  I hate feeling I’ve been ripped off.  The Skoda net will be made very cheaply and just rebranded the net programme....sound more technical than they are

I have the 3 in red. If you were to break it down say £20 for the big one and £15 for each of the lateral ones I think its fair. They are well made and look like they will last.

I've got the genuine Skoda set that came with my Karoq. They were there when I got the car, the first owner had paid for them and not even opened the plastic bag.  So I did.  The quality is very good, they'll last, but the ones I got from Aliexpress for my Octavia are just as good. And i'm a fussy bvgger.

The original post - I've looked in the Skoda Karoq accessories brochure and they're £27 a set, whether spare wheel floor or not.  The Octavia 3 accessories brochure says £48 for red ones, £60  (!!) for black. OK, they're different from the Karoq set but only a bit.

I repeat my suggestion to look online. There's a wide selection of sizes.

Buy cheap buy twice. If they’re the same ones or same quality as the ones in my Superb, they are robust and very handy for stopping stuff moving around d the boot or chucking loads of gloves, clothes etc in  the side hanging ones.

Caffyns are good, I've bought from them in the past.
