Why would VW 'base' a new EV around a Polo seeing as they are the ones that are supposedly all about EV Platforms for EV's and not using something that is built to take an ICE?

If the real story is about a Polo sized ID.2 then that might be the correct headline

 

They Golf EV is so so. The ID.3 is not 'Based on a Golf'.

 The e-Up! / Mii electric does work as a EV but VW say they want to replace that with a EV Platform.

ID Polo unveiling tomorrow. Sub £22,000. Only 5 years from the teasing is not bad for VW Group. This will surely be a fault / snag free vehicle from day 1 of deliveries... Das Auto.

Already been reviewed by a number of Youtubers a few months ago. It looks pretty good. I'll be interested how it compares in size to the ID.3 Neo, as I'm thinking this could be the next car based on the boot space.
