I came across this little box and I am wondering, maybe anyone have tried it on MK3.5 or even MK4 ?

How is the performance and were there any faults during the prolonged use ?

Also, were there any problems ?

Be patient my friend ! remaps and hardware will come !

Just be prepared to lose any warrranty on the engine as it will raise a td1 flag. They say they dont but when the ecu works out of predefined parameters and cannot find a fault it will automatically raise the td1 flag.

I am not sure what would be the point to have more than 300hp for FWD car, mine is struggling for grip in first two gears already, and do we really all live in Germany where we could drive 100km/h ++?
If Octavia RS tfsi would be all wheel drive, then that is different story.

Thanks a lot, video above explained it all to me and then comment about warranty - I made my mind and I am not going to get this box haha.

Regarding the HP, yeah 300hp would be max limit i think so too. For me its more 0-100 that matters, not the top speed..

I was thinking ABT when I got mine. Was informed they have a 2 year warranty should anything go wrong and would be undetected. Not sure how true that would be.

Yes, with the ABT one you keep the warranty. In fact, the ABT one, by far, is the most complex to install. I had a quotation from them and the installation takes 1h30 minutes and, in my case, was planned to be done in a VW official garage. The issue with the ABT one is the price, almost 4 times the price of the GTS black one ...

Having had a 300 BHP Octavia, FWD can't reliably put down the power from a standing start as it loses traction very easily, even when rolling if the road surface is slightly damp, cold. It's not so much standing starts or 0-60 mph that I found impressive,  rather it was the torque and ability to fire safely past traffic. I found the best method for a very quick departure was a short calm roll in 1st to get going, straight into 2nd and use the extra torque to push on. With my current pipe and slippers car, I just stamp on the accelerator and know the car will jump away at a busy roundabout  with no danger or panic caused by wheel spin.

I enquired about 1 month ago. Then they didn't have anything but they did say to keep checking

Wow, no no, not at all. This is an additional ECU connected in parallel with the stock one, installed inside the engine bay, with a dedicated mounting support. I've never seen an installation manual, but I would say that ABT ECU is connected between several engine sensors (Boost, coolant, speed, manifold pressure, ...) and the original.  

So is it actually like..racechip?🙈 wondering if skoda warranty allows abt tuning. For example..audi is allowing abt tuning for warranty.

For the time being, let's see how evolves the parts market ... Could be at long term, but not sure.
