Calliper Paint

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a MK1 Fabia vRS, and the callipers are all different colours and need a good paint!

On the front are the Seat Sport 4Pots and Normal on the back.

My question is, does any one sell or know anywhere in which you can get paint for callipers in the original green colour?

Thanks

Thank you very much for the help !!

@mattybellerby - TMB didn't mention it as such, but you need a high temperature paint to do brake calipers.

Ken, lots of briskoda folks have used the paint I linked to without temperature issues.

I have the paragon paints one linked above and it is very good and holds up well on the calipers

Calipers don't get hot like the discs do, and certainly not as hot as an exhaust manifold, the brake pads are quite effective at insulating them, it takes a lot of hard braking to get the brake fluid above 100 degrees C when steam pockets form and you get the classic soft pedal brake fade.

I bought the Paragon paint about 5 years ago and used it on my calipers with no problems. It's enamel paint and they state a "Temp Resistance: 170ºC." . I painted all 4 calipers 2 or 3 times and still had 3/4 of tin left. The rear calipers are made from Aluminium so you will also need a tin of their etch primer. Fronts and carriers don't need it as they're Steel, but I primered them anyway.

This is the original thread that this paint was found.
