Fix rear passenger door not locking - Probably broken wire - How to fix?

Featured Replies

Hi,

My superb mk3 got doesn't want to lock the back door anymore (sometimes it does, most times it doesnt)

I know that's a known issue for them, can anyone guide me on how to check the wires?

A step by step would be great :D

up?

Dunno about wire fix but mine has a similar issue with the drivers side rear lock sometimes not working (causes the central locking to keep trying to lock and unlock the doors while moving above 12mph, first discovered due to the door not unlocking from the remote initially and verified as a fault with VCDS).

it is being replaced under warranty next week when serviced so I will report back after that but it’s mostly likely the lock rather than a wiring issue.

Hi, I have the same problem, looks like wires too since it first started with the door lock and now its about window control. Is there any tuttorial how to check the wires/connector? Thank you

Mine was the door lock which got replaced.

I also had electric window issues which required a new switch unit in the drivers door so your issues are probably two separate (and known) ones!

I dont think so. Once it was the door lock, then windows, then door lock and windows. Today I just wiggled with the wire loom and from fully working doors I now have no kessy, window and lock. Its definitely wire loom.
