Meteor Grey no longer available on vRS

Featured Replies

Just checked the configurator for UK.

Looks like Meteor Grey no longer an option. Replaced by Brilliant Metallic Silver.

What does this mean for orders previously placed for Meteor Grey with no build date?  Does Skoda still fulfill the order?

Wonder why , mine is in Meteor grey. I 'd be happy if it was a unique colour but most of the new cars i see are now in flat grey , Ford, Audi etc. I bet its going to get boring like silver once was.

On another note the VRS description on Skoda UK still says after months that the car comes with 16" wheels. The faults and lack of attention on the site make me wonder.

VRS

From £ 30,620|

16" Velorum alloy wheels

Virtual Cockpit with 10.25" display

LED headlights with LED daytime running lights

Cruise control with speed limiter

Rear parking sensors with manoeuvre assist

Having looked at the new config for the VRS i do see that Meteor Grey is gone ,, it wouldnt surprise me that due to the Golf Gti's uglyness, F-ups with tech. VW grp have pulled the colour. The Octy cannot be better or more spesh than the GTI or any of Audi's products. The amount of interest i have had from passers buy has been really surprising. Up here in Glasgow the streets are full of Audi's and Beemurs and all go un-noticed. I know Covid prob caused the interest in my Octy as it novel and i dont think many on the road at the mo.

But do be aware that the infotainment system is pretty bad.

My car has been in twice for rectification and i was about to throw the towel in on Friday when the clima went dark. Stuck on 28 degs and seat heating on. Left her for an hour and the gremlin was gone. I did however contact the dealer and told them i wanted a log kept of all my problems and an email of a tech person to send my screen captures too.

The car drives great , you wont be disappointed and i know with the weight of all the other guys here , the software will eventually work

just checked -

Might still be available in other regions. This was the UK website.

We still dont get choice of wheels nor leather!

Very baffling as Skoda UK have updated the brochure (dated 1st May) and Meteor Grey is available in new brochure (free of charge on vRS spec only)

Regarding wheels on UK spec VRS it is now 19inch Altair anthracite as standard, or 17 inch Rotair with 205/55 R17 all season tyres as option.

The 16 inch velourum seem to be standard on SE First Edition (and option on SE) only.

Tow bar preparation is not available with vRS iV (and there is also a note about only available on cars with 19 inch wheels if also has rough road package)

All vRS get XL (extra load) rated tyres, Diesel vRS get different tyres (not sporty) as well

Just been told that it is no longer available in Denmark either... (Assuming meteor grey and steel grey is the same) Even though its still available on the website.

Come on Skoda UK and give us back Meteor Grey.  Do this and I'll buy another VRS estate.  No way am I paying £500+ for paint and don't want (free) silver.

Maybe the VRS was too pretty in met grey for Audi. Our poor cousin Octy cant be better than the A3 ,4 or Golf.
