i will make this breif. a car hit my parked fabia vrs broke rear bumper dent in side.he drove off but i managed to track the car down .he tried to get out of insurance claim but i got his insurance in the end.insurance adviced me to have the work done by their approved garage that does all their work so they know it is done to a good standard.sounds ok to me. takes them aweek to spray & fit bumper!. corners of bumper not stuck down & paint on bumper full of grit n bits plus they not put door seal back on right so i get rain coming in.took me 2 hours to get all the over spray off my wheels. so back it goes .this time it takes them over aweek to respray & restick bumper plus put seal on. they couldnt get bumper to stick flat so they filled gaps with some kind of soft white filler then painted over it. it took a 3 mile drive home to make the paint on the filler to crack & show filler.so straught back i go. they said they had trouble sticking it down ,it had big gaps so they filled them all!!!!!!!!!!:eek: .garage said they going to get intouch with skoda because he think the bumper was a bad fit (yea right)& he wants skoda to send a ready stuck together bumper so they only got to paint & fit it ( forgot to say they fit bumper slopping down ,looks like they broke location clips).,so thats where im at ,waiting to hear from garage. but i dont want my car to go back to that garage .i want a skoda garage to do job now.what can i do?. any ideas or advice

Call your insurer, say you have given their garage multiple chances and you would like it fixed properly by another one of their approved people or skoda. Give them a carrot .

Also make sure you have pictures of the 'repaired' car.

Tis a bit worrying, as what they have done on bodywork if they can't make a bumper fit. If you have any clue at all and the bumper doesn't fit then you would refit it until it does not bodge it with filler!!!

Tell your insurer that you aren't happy and want the work rectifying elsewhere. Maybe best to do this in writing listing all the problems and prehaps also suggest where you would like the work done.

i took your advice rang my insurance, they agreed to take it to a skoda garage who will agree price for doing the work with the garage that bodged it up then skoda can redo it all ....which was nice.
