Newbie with Sat Nav issues

Featured Replies

Recently received my Octavia VRS IV Estate, as a company car, having had 3 BMW 320d's previously.

Overall really impressed with build quality, but having issues saving destinations in the sat nav, set up as primary user etc.

Spoken to my local dealer, who has advised that i need to take the car in for a full factory re-set, my question being does anyone have experience of this, and will this solve the issue?

Apologies in advance if this has already been covered on a 30 page thread!

had the car into the dealers, who didn't have a clue what to do. they have spoken with Skoda, who have had "a few cars with the same issue". There is a software update available, which they hope will rectify the problem, but they aren't sure. The dealers have no idea how long the update will take, Skoda have advised anywhere between 2-5 hrs. If this doesn't work  Skoda wish to recall the car for testing!

My has been in to my local Skoda garage with the same problem and not saving favourites, last dest, Comprehensive to Brief instructions, and other sat nav settings. Skoda UK are aware of issues but unsure how to rectify. Had an update to software about 2wks ago and still not sorted.

I have the same issues as you MikeCT. Unable to save favourites so it's going in to the dealer next week to have a diagnostic check and update, if available. It's not a major issue as the voice control recognises plain English, so I just ask for a destinaation and keep a list of favourites in the car.

I have got around it by adding the address and postcode to my contacts (on iphone). Then when i tap on map, on the left i click contacts. Not ideal as would rather have them saved as favourites.
