DSG Oil and 4x4 Oil change

Featured Replies

Hello Kodiaq Owners,

I couldn't find straight forward Information regarding the below query. I have 2017 Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDI 190 SEL 7 seater Automatic.

Does it require DSG Oil change if so how often?

Does it require a 4x4 Oil change if so how often?

There isn't clear Information regarding the service. I used to have VW Passat and it was on a Long life service, one Major and one Minor service to be done once in Two Years.

For kodiaq it's every year and on the website it says only Interim service and you add some bits to it such as the filters.  Can we change the service interval for kodiaq to be long life?

Mine is due for 4th service 35 K,

Any help on the above query is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Your Haldex should have been done at its 3rd service the DSG will be due an oil change at its next (4th) service

The chart is about fixed services/ annual.  So actually the DSG service is due at 40,000 miles which might be in however many services time for others looking at the recommendations as Skoda UK do not use the word 'schedule', so for many it can be depending on when the car gets to 40,000 miles.     The Haldex used to be at 40,000 miles then VW went to 3 years, not even 30,000 miles.  The Haldex might well need doing before 30,000 miles and before 3 years.  Done properly that is, not just an oil change without a proper clean out.     So change of oil and filter services on the engine oil and filter to variable if you like but be sure the DSG is being serviced on time, and be sure the Haldex is properly serviced and not as many Dealership Workshop employees think is acceptable.
