Columbus Clock Display

Featured Replies

Apologies for this question as there's bound to be a simple answer... Is it possible to actually have the clock displayed on the Columbus screen when it is standby mode? This is on a 2020 (July build) Superb iV Sportline Plus with a MIB3 Columbus.

I've tried ticking 'show clock in standby mode' and 'display clock when screen is off' but I have never managed to get the clock to appear - apart from the standard digital clock at the top of the screen. No difference if the Columbus is doing it's own thing or I've switched it on.

My morning commute is only 5 miles, so I don't really need the nav screen up (might do as I get older....!). The car is an ex demo and I remember choosing a clock design when I first configured the infotainment system but I haven't seen it since!

PS I have tried the online and hard copy manuals as well as searching here!

My 2017 shows the analogue clock when the ICE is switched off.

I just enabled the option that you have.

As far as I know, with MIB2 and 2.5 - the clock will only display if u turn the infotainment unit off while the engine is running.

Would b nice if it could b done to show the clock when u tick the option "switch screen off after 10 secs".

Looked far n wide - no luck.

Not sure how it's like with the newer MIB3 units, like U have.

Thanks, I've tried ticking (and unticking!) all the options for the clock by the standby screen just remains blank.

On my 2019 MY I turn off the display when the car is running - hold the on/off button for a while....then it stays off with a clock showing between cycles.

Today I tried digifish's 'hold the on/off button for a while' and as if by magic, the clock appeared. This was whilst on the road, works in both ICE and in EV mode. It even then appeared when I got home and switched everything off and back on again, the screen went into standby mode as the car was powered up..

With the 'show clock when screen goes blank after 10 seconds' ticked - it still shows a blank screen with no clock but at least the clock is there and I know how to find it.

Thanks again to all that commented - my quest has been fulfilled!
