Oil sensor workshop 2012 Ocfavia vrs DSG

Featured Replies

Hello all, i have a 2012 Vrs DSG and have recently encountered a problem were my car flashed up Oil Sensor Workshop. I have changed the sump sensor today added Castrol oil and changed the filter. I still have the fault has anyone come across this and can you suggest anything

Check the wiring and scan the car for fault codes?

@steb Did you get this fixed at all?

I have a similar issue with my 2011 Fabia vRS. I had a few fault codes relating to the oil level/temp sensor. I had also noticed the oil temp reading on the maxidot occasionally jumped around in value intermittently.

I jump in and changed the sensor and the oil/filter but the faults codes returned as did the jumping around of oil temp values.

I'm guessing it must be a loose/damaged wire or even the instrument panel ECU.

@JohnnyJohnBoy

worth starting a new thread on that in the Mk2 Fabia section.

Thanks @e-Roottoot

I've done a bit more digging on forums and think I'm going to see if I can check the wiring for loose/broken connections before i post again about the sensor.

I've downloaded wiring diagrams and that has raised a query of it's own that I've posted about if the Fabia II forum.
