Afternoon all,

the boot lock mechanism needs replacing, it stays in the open position.

Could somebody please let me know what the part number is?

Thank you.

Forgot to mention its a 2018 Sportline.

I've come across this part no. 3V0827505C, anyone know if it's the right one?

Is it still under warranty?

Is the lock just jammed?

It’s just out of warranty. Yes it’s jammed and stays open. When I pop the boot I can physically close the lock but I can’t shut the boot again.

If it is an electronic release type then power is getting to it.

Find the metal manual emergency release button inside the boot.

Then disconnect the power to the boot release and try to shut the boot.

Make sure you can get to the metal manual emergency release button inside the boot before shutting it.

See if it now works manually.

This might tell you if it is an electrical or mechanical problem.

Thanks, AG Falco

How stupid am I?? 🙄

My car has Kessy.

I can open the drivers door and the boot.

Every time I checked to see if the boot was locked, my key was in my pocket. That’s why the boot never stayed locked.

like I said, stupid!!
