Hi I need to replace my fuel sender unit on my FUN.

As they stopped making them in 2012 I am having a job tracking one down. Does anyone know if there are compatible full senders from other vechiles ?

Also..has anyone else had difficulty filling at the pump. My FUN seems to cut out the petrol pump handle and I can only fill it up at a snails pace ?

It depends on the fuel pump nozzle model. Modern ones can be more temperamental. It might help rotating the nozzle in the fuel filler. Also you can ask the pump helper to show you the proper technique for that specific nozzle.

Not sure who is "they" but aftermarket parts are still manufactured. The part code is 6U0919671B.

I will try modifying the fuel inlet, as when I use a can and a flexible hose it fills better.

FUEL SENDER

The issue has been that although some stockists have the part number listed, when you try to order they are all out of stock and do not have access to more stock as they say it is discontinued. The onlinecarparts site lists it but it is again out of stock. If you know of another supplier I would be most grateful for your suggestions
