rear seat rattle

i've got a rattle from the rear.it could be the rear seats.i remember someone else had problems with a noise too.they were told to lift the seat up and checked it's screwed down ??

is this right and what do i do.

I have just cured a rattle coming from the back of my vRS - I drove around with a mate in the back trying to locate it. He ended up in the boot and found the rattle coming from the boot lid catch - if you take off the small bit of trim on the car side you will see a cylindrical shape stopper/pad covered in rubber - this was culprit - I have lubed it with some washing up liquid and the rattle has gone!!

If the rattle stops with the rear seat down wind out the stop a few turns by the seat catch, this should stop it.

If it ends up not being the seats check the spare wheel is in tight, I had a Fabia where it came slightly loose and it sounded a bit odd.
