Hi, i just got brand new Octavia Sedan Style, 1.5 TSI DSG. Never owned Škoda before.

I hope i'll learn about Škoda from experienced users :-D and i'll share my thoughts and experiences as they come up.

im waiting apprehensively for my Skoda to be built

ive my fingers crossed that it doesn’t have all the software issues that some of the guys on here have or are still experiencing

Thanks mate. I read about the issues, but i bought the car anyway. It is produced in March 2021, so far no problems, i just have to get used to commands without buttons

did you add any options?

Do you you wish you added more or not even the ones that you have now.

hopefully vAG group get the ongoing issues rectified

I’ve read lots of things from Audi through the range experiencing a whole number of things wrong 

my neighbours have a two day old cupra formentor which has sat nav and e call problems a 40k car to say he is unhappy is an understatement 

keep me informed how your experience goes with the ease of use and gremlins if any

I have 40 Octavias produced in 2020 in company's fleet. There were a lot of problems, but latest service measures are in most cases solution for the problems. Octavia and Golf are best sellers, if it's not fixed 100% yet, it will be soon.

 

Huh, in Croatia Style is the highest package before RS, but i think it has less equipment included than i western EU countries. I had to pay foe 18 inch wheels separately, and dynamic package that contains lower suspension, sport seats, dark rear windows, small wing at the boot, and dark front grille. also i opted comfort package to get heated front seats, front parking sensors, ambient interior light and driving modes, above all that i opted heated front windshield. No satnav, it was expensive and i don't need it because i use Sygic, Waze, AmiGO, google maps from my mobile phones.

 

Didn't try android auto yet because it requires cable and i can't find short enough (1 m is too much). However, Apple car-play works wireless, and it is amazing, absolutely fantastic.
