Does anyone sell the new VRS cheaper online?

OK' date=' I bow to greater knowledge on this one. However the car has a two year Skoda warranty and therefore I guess Skoda will sort out these problems?

I doubt thay Skoda UK will sort out a miss build issue that the dealer in Malta (where the car originates from) should have noticed on their PDI. Its not really a warranty issue.

So you are saying that if you buy your car in the UK, then drive to france (or where ever) and have an issue, you can not go to the local Skoda dealer.

Thats rubbish.

If the dealers don't want people to buy via online sites or Motorpoint etc etc, then they should be more competative, not put out scare stories.

I'm not saying that at all. There is a difference between a warranty claim and a mis-build issue.

Sure, if you break down or have a part fail then the Skoda warranty will cover you in France or wherever, but the fact that your car has the wrong spare wheel in it, after having a Pre Delivery Inspectiopn, is nothing to do with warranty. It is down to the supplying dealer not doing the PDI correctly, so why would Skoda UK wish to replace a wrong part that should have been noted and dealt with in another country?

What absolute nonsense! Please stop scaremongering!

I must say I disagree with you Dan, as I experienced the situation mentioned elsewhere in this thread, but as I access Briskoda for good intentions and not to fall out with its members, I will 'bite my tongue' on this subject.......................

OK, we'll agree to disagree!

No offence meant.
