Performance rear discs

Featured Replies

Any good suggestions, and a place to go? :)

I don't even know what the mm is of the back brakes. :o

I've just got some normal pads, but thought it would be nice to fit some drilled/grooved discs.

Still no news on a decent rear brake upgrade anyone?

The STAR one had tarox 300mm rear disc setup/pads setup.

EBC Turbo Greenstuff pads work a treat on mine, a definate improvement in stopping power and absolutely no visible brake dust after 2 weeks. The new compound they use is truly excellent IMO

not a size upgrade - sure thats still a no-no. Doesn't stop getting uprated discs though. :)

Black Diamond rings a bell.

How'd they get a 300mm rear upgrade then? My wants. :D

No idea, complete new rear brake setup, ring star performance, they did it and they'll be able to tell you what they used. the owner just told me what was done and i was like ummm ok.

I should imagine they use the Tarox 300mm upgrade for the rear, same as the Mk4 Golf etc. Somewhat pointless on the Fabia as the rear brakes do next to feck all anyway.

Ive got black diamond disks/pads on and have had for about 40k. Have got a problem though all the groves and holes are just about worn off and the pads are half worn. Im disapointed at how fast the disks have worn, they seem very soft and the pads are hard. Good stopping power but at a cost. Its £300 plus just for the parts for a full 4wheel set up and Im looking at having to do all this again in about another 10k. 50k for disks is not great (about 50% on motorway) in my book.

Well, after what Ross has said I think I must go for oem style ones from a motor factors. Save the money for a set of Zimmermans for the front.

My OEM disks on my octy are good for about 50k, well i have done 40ish and told i have 5-10kish left.
