right my brain isnt working today at all or im just being really dumb (probably the second one)

 

ive got some alloys they came with 225/45/17 on them and i was thinking will they fit in 205/40/17, if not should i just put them in 205/45/17 but im worried if i put them in these tyres they will rub?

 

 

As you can see from the chart below, 205/40R17 fitted to 7Jx17 ET45 5/100 57.1 rims should fit.
