Due to my wife looking for a replacement vehicle due to her 'roadside decatted' Jazz being written off, please can anyone tell me the actual engine designation of the 1.0 MPI?

Apart from the absence to the turbo and direct injection in the MPI, are there any other differences between the two engines? 

I am encouraging her to look at the TSI rather than the older MPI, am I right in this? 

1.0 TSI = EA211

1.0 MPI = ????

Mk4 Skoda Fabia will be available soon with a MPI 1.0.    N/A 65 or 80 PS.

There might be some Mk3 Fabia bargains around with this engine.   The KISS principal.

They are all EA211 engines, the TSI has a turbo charger and intercooler that increases torque and power output but basically the same design.

05 plate, 2005.

When 1.0TSI's got a GPF at around 2018 i think the MPI's did not. 

They might still not have a GPF now in 2021, but i do not know & others might well.

The 80 bhp one was terrifyingly slow in a loaner, but since it was an FR labelled SEAT I think I had assumed it was a 110/115 just like mine and attempted a similar overtake to those I could normally achieve safely.
