Hi All. My electronics system has started to fail. Turns on and off, stuck on one radio station. Stays on for a few seconds then off.  Skoda did tests, they tell me it’s the screen and to replace is £791.  The car has to have a power issue recall job done also they have informed me. Any advice on how where in the UK I can get cheaper? Is the power issue related?

Welcome! That's probably about the right price from a dealer. However, you can get a good used part for a fraction of the price from eBay and various breaker yards etc...

 

Can you add a picture of your display as that will help to ID it for more specific advice.

 

Not sure what the recall is. Might be worth asking them exactly what the issue is and how the recall solves it as that'll help understand it

Now is the time to get an upgrade to your car's infotainment system!  I would recommend a new MIB2 Amunsden or even a Columbus system for your Scout - with touchless buttons (unless you don't have GPS - in which case, stick with an MIB2 Bolaro unit).

What about something aftermarket?

 

This for example integrates with the cars systems like the factory system.

 

And is a fraction of the cost. And probably has more functionality.
