Couple Jabba Boost Controller Questions

Featured Replies

I'm wondering if I misunderstood that the Jabba Boost Controller could be removed for times like when taking the car into a dealer or letting someone else use the car?

All I seem to have is a small black box with a dial on thats double taped to my panel near the light switch, then a wire going off into the steering colum. I don't see how this car be removed etc?

Secondly can I confirm what a couple of people have said that its possible and safe to dial up and down the boost while on the move?

edit:

Sorry a quick third query. Does the boost controller have more than two settings? ( max and min ) or will turning down the dial half way be half way between the different settings?

does it look like this?

i've seen many companies selling these. IIRC, they tap between the ecu and the

N75, then amplify or reduce the signal to control the wastegate. You should be able to control the boost while on the move. Removable? I dont know about yours, but mine taps 4 wires and does not look removable-friendly at all. About the third question, If you dont have a boost gauge, you can know by using the pants-sensor and/or listening to the turbo while adjusting the boost.

There's a little plug on the controller just behind the dashboard. you should be able to trace the cable from the **** about 6-8 inches. It can be disconnected from there. (Well thats what mine's like)

As Brendan says......you have to unravel the cord connected to the rotary controller.....Jabba should have given you a jack plug which goes into the end of unplugged cable which goes to the ECU...sets the boost to minimum.

Yes...it's safe to change on the fly.

There are 2 maps...max and min....settings are variable inbetween.
