Oh well, today's the day! Dropped off at 8.30. Grumpy service manager asked if the fault was showing now? (Which it wasnt) she said because my car was brand new it had missed the update? To which I replied 'How can that be when it was only released last week'. I don't hold out much hope!🙄

Don't hold your breath mate. My some headlight MK3 was such a lovely trouble free car to drive. I really regret getting this one.

I’d report the call to 999 to Skoda, if anything is going to give them a kick up the arse it’s peoples cars calling the emergency services and wasting their time. If the call couldn’t be cancelled the

  • So another update from me...   Went to the Peak District this weekend - nice view, eh?   Anyways, so overall I did 471 miles and heard the popping sound only once. Straight away t

The popping/sos fault has just returned to my car after nearly a month of trouble free motoring 😬 also had the sat nav losing position. Strange how it mirrors its faulty location on the Skoda sat

Well it went in on Tuesday for the software fixes and........dare I say it, I've drove since then with no errors 🤫 a mixture of motorway and town drives, which always produced a error but nothing! No changes to the versions shown in the settings but summat happened.

Which dealership did you take it to? I live in your area I use RRG

Yup, I use RRG in Rochdale.

Car still performing OK to 1 week down the line! beginning to like it again, especially the 52MPG i'm getting up & down the motorway.

RRG updated my software late last year but the popping came back a few weeks ago it’s doing it most days then dialling sos. I suppose I will have to take it back in!

I have had this double popping noise since having my car in June. Software updates and firmware updates etc have not worked. Came across a post on a Seat forum where the problem is happening too, a VAG issue

The poster recommended changing the user profile privacy setting. Change from share my location to use my position. Essentially either of the first two icons in the user privacy settings

So far so good in my car...might be worth a try

Good luck!
