Reliable place for Skoda repairs Glasgow

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am looking for recommendations for somewhere in Glasgow for a gearbox issue in my Skoda citigo, which is ‘Skoda approved’ so doesn’t affect the warranty but also isn’t a complete rip off.

I only moved up recently and my very reliable mechanic back in England is too far to drive

many thanks

Could try A for Audi who are/were based in Clydebank but I see do city centre collection and drop off. Tell me which hospital you work at and I'll know which would be better for you.

Is this the same thread that discusses not being able to select 5th? (and a hot bonnet?)

Sorry, I know nothing about Glasgow area (though I lived in Durness for a while, which may, comparatively, be like being in Norway!) but if that is the thread, it's possibly something that a decent garage should be able to at least analyse, and quote for, without the expense of a main dealer... (although Skoda may be a tad cheaper than VW)

As it's the same OP, I presume so. I do actually live in the area myself these days,

Anonymity retained. :)

A for Audi are/were in Clydebank, maybe 5 minutes walk from Clydebank railway station. 4 trains an hour to/from Partick, and lots of buses from there to the QEUH (still often known as the Southern from being on the same site).
