:iagree: Begs the question do I hang on to the old doors?

Anyway - at the moment its a lot of money that I haven't got... All I know is rumour that some bloke in germany has a WRC Fabia and is rallying it, and has already got them designed and is able to ship them....

Do it Jason, do it!

yeah, i say go for it too. although that diesel engine is pretty heavy :)

You could save more weight by chopping the roof off.

If Top gear could do an Espace , a Furby must be a doddle

Just a thought, if they have been designed for WRC I doubt they wil lhave the facilities for mounting windows, door lock mechs etc.

Go for full carbon fibreness Jason, the lot!!

Sod the cost :D

Let us know what your insurance co say too!

Well, this would technically come under their "don't bother telling us about styling mods" clause - so game on. :D

Shall ask about windows / locks etc as obviously thats something I don't wish to lose. :)

Yeha cool

Carbon fibre doors polycarbonate windows thats a diet Fabia.

My Audis Carbon fibre bonnet weighs 8lbs the stock bonnet weighs 28 lbs.

i'd be into a bonnet as long as it didnt have a scoop or scoops

Buy an EVO - it'll be cheaper to insure, faster, less smokey etc.... the list goes on.........

Surely locks would be pointless in a carbon fibre door.

Introduce a medium flat head screwdriver to the lock cylinder, give it a poke and watch it come through the door. Turn and Voila, open door.

No good for nicking the car, but ok for cleaning it out.

However you could use the remote function and not have the lock in the door.

Your with LV hey? I know some people who work there and I'd certainly check that they know what you are doing re insurance.

Evo cheaper to insure? Kidding right? Its group 18/20 compared to group 6.... :D LV know exactly what I'm up to, and only a couple of weeks ago they gave me the nod to [mark & lard] "carry on" [/mark & lard] - boy I miss them.

Still not 100% on the CF - I've yet to see pictures and evidence they actually exist. Just one chaps word on TDIclub is all I have to go on at the moment.

Hmm - save even more weight!!

"You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

Well, I've been assured the doors are an exact carbon copy (excuse the pun) of a real door, right down to hinge mounts, door card mounts, etc. Not heard any more info yet, so not holding my breath on this.
