I managed to get the old aerial out - it's taken me two weeks to pluck up enough courage to "give it a good yank" as suggested my many here.

You do have to pull the old aerial VERY hard to get it off. I found putting my left hand on the roof, fingers spread around the aerial mount as a way of anchoring the roof and not flexing it helped.

New one looks very nice indeed and no noticable loss of reception from the radio.

Joking apart. It is really easy and the car looks much better IMO :thumbup:
