Furby vRS rear suspension

Featured Replies

I've had my Furby vRS a couple of weeks now, and this weekend I noticed that there seems to be load squeaks/creaks from the rear suspension when you go over a speed bump. I'm sure it wasn't there when I first had the car, maybe only since I had 3 friends in the back? Seems fine in normal driving, just when the suspension travel is over a certain amount, ie. going over a speed bump.

Any ideas?

Might well just be the back seat fixings - where they clip into the "upright" position.

Edit: Oops. Furby. I was thinking Octy, but may still apply.

Mine does it as well, or at least did, I think it's just the bedding in process. Mine still does it in extreme cases, but it's practically gone now.... I'd say you have the same problems as me.....

Mine too! Think it is the seats creaking. The drivers seat is the most annoying one, but I am able to live with it for now. Might get it done at the 10k svc. ;)

Thanks for the comments guys, nice to know I'm not the only one... :-)

Yep mine does it too going into dealers nxt week

for that & the rattle in the dash????

Is it THE dashboard rattle? If so, give me some endy bits of inner tube, some sellotape, a chisel and a screwdriver (and a torch to aim from my gob) and I'll do it quite happily... no? :D (It hasn't squeaked once since I did it and from what I've heard the dealer fix doesn't always work?)

Jesus! Are Skoda still sending through Fabias with the center dash rattle?

At least its easily fixed!

this dealer fix does work and only because i copied what you had done and had no come backs since, big up for jason

 @ big_k...

[cheek mode]Does this mean I get to claim copyright dues from you to set against the remote c/locking install?[/cheek mode]

Hows that coming BTW - you get the PM?

Jason you have some strange bedroom habits

seriously though thanks

Well - Matt was the one that gave the idea to me, so he started it all off... I just adapted the limited number of tools and materials to hand, which is why I resorted to using what I did! :o

Still - I've done worse and got away with it... Now, where's that phone number for the patent office? [rummages] :D

Dunkx, sorry to hear you have suspension creaks. I have had more than my fair share of them. I reckon it could be any of the rubber suspension bushes being dry (thru

I also had the famous behind the dashboard creak/rattle soon after I got my car. Well this is what I did to cure it. As it always seemed to kick off when things had warmed up either from the heater or the sunshine (you remember!?), I got the dash nice and warm with heat on the screen full blast for a couple of mins, then opened the drivers door and pulled off the fusebox cover at side of the dash, you will see two bolts securing what I presumed to be the dash mounting strut/bracket, well I just slackened them both then retightened to relieve the pressure off of the bracket, which probably expanded when it got warm. I have never heard the slightest creak or rattle from there since.

Haydn.
