Bluetooth Audio Quality Drops for every new song

Featured Replies

Hi All - Hope everyones' doing well. I own a Superb MY20 Sportline. I have realized that between Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Carplay is clearly miles ahead in terms of user interface as well as the Audio Quality.

However, what I also wanted to know is - when playing audio via Bluetooth - if any of you are facing the Audio Quality & Volume dropping every time a new song plays? When playing Amazon Music via Bluetooth (on Android Phone), I am facing this weird problem where audio quality drops every time a new song starts. If I press the rewind button to restart song, then audio quality and audio volume both gets back to the earlier "good state".

Any thoughts or ways to fix this?

Also FYI that I do not have sound level normalization setup in Amazon Music - and hence, each song should play at its own volume level, instead of the software normalizing it to a uniform volume.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Sanju

If you still have an MIB2.5 system, then it might be worth doing a firmware update on the MIB system.  Do you have a Bolero, Amunsden or Columbus system?

I have the Amundsen Infotainment system. How do I do a firmware update? Is it something I can do myself or do I need to get the service center to do this?

Thanks in advance.

You can do it yourself if you are technically proficient - assuming you still have a MIB2.5 system and not an MIB3 system. You should take it to your dealer though and report issues with Bluetooth sound and demonstrate the issue to them. They should then upgrade your system to the latest firmware under warranty.

Maybe try some other apps too?

If it's streaming then it might be using a low quality file until it's had time to download a better one.
