Scout Haladex fault?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone.

I've just picked up a 2012 Scout. I popped on the OBD 11 just to scan and it has an inactive fault for the AWD system.

Haldex clutch pump

00448

Intermittent

Priority 3

Frequently counter 1

Driving cycle 40.

No idea what it means. It was a trade in, so can't really return etc for fixing

With no history, just delete the fault. It may be an old fault that's already been fixed. The time to worry is if the fault recurs.

If it’s a gen4 Haldex make sure the hidden filter (not shown on Skoda’s parts diagram) has been changed.

This was mine after 8 years and only 33k miles.

By a 3 year service regime on the Haldex it should have been properly serviced 3 times.   By a 30,000 mile interval we have no idea.

At least 2 services carried out on the Haldex would have been nice.

You need to find out the state of the Haldex and if working, if serviced or needing serviced or more than that.
