So out of the blue, our primary user profile deleted itself and the car removed itself from the Skoda Connect app. Tried to log back in, that didn't work for ages - then I could log in but I can't activate Skoda Connect. I either get an 'Unable to start app' on the display when I try and make myself the primary user, or it just keeps loading and does nothing. 

 

On top of that, when you try to factory reset, I get an error saying that 'system could not return to factory settings'. I'm a loss as to what to do here, other than ask my dealer to look into it - but given how they had no idea about the e-call recall, I'm not holding out hope!

I have had the same issue with my Kamiq SEL. Apparently there is a major system update from the main dealer. Mine is booked in for Monday 6th August, this will be the second update in the last two months. I do think the system is a bit flakey and we are the manufacturers test programme

 

Another related issue is that I can't use Skoda Connect which I had recently renewed at a ridiculous price. Who would charge you for a system that doesn't work?

The 6th is next Friday. Monday the 9th.

I actually managed to fix this by myself. I did a factory reset, got the error - then I pressed and held the power button on the bottom left of the nav system, let it reset and that seemed to have done a proper reset. Logged in, activated and it all worked! 

 

Though I've now found out that Care Connect stuff like mileage etc in the app is also paid for and the care won't connect to the store :/

I have the same issue in my second hand bought Octavia iV PHEV vRS.

First i had issues with apple carplay; google maps was a complete blurr so they updated to 1896 and that fixed the blurr.

 

But my skoda connect did not work from day one.

I have a new skoda id account created (few times allready) on the PC.. and i am able to login in the car. So the internet connection works. Globe is grey. But my problem is i cannot get the part working to become a main user.

 

Got the error message: "App kan niet worden gestart" (dutch) --- "Unable to start app" (english) --- "App konnte nicht gestarted werden" (german)

 

Tried to reset, hard reset, removed fuses from both SOS module and main entertainment unit for about a hour..

I have checked with OBD11 the following what i found on a cupra forum, but all what is written there in post 9 is what it should be in my case..

 

I have no clue what to do? Dealer spent lots of time on it allready.. unable to figure it out..
