Satnav version query

Featured Replies

Hi - I have a Fabia, registered September 2020 and bought (ex-demo) May 2021.  The dealer forgot to include the satnav sd card completely, at first, then provided one which looks to be a very old (2016?) version for such a new car.  Does anyone know what version it should have been shipped with, please? (I'd rather have the dealer fiddle around with the updates than do it myself).

Whereabouts are you? I bet someone local on this forum would give you a hand if you asked nicely. Updating the nav database is pretty straightforward.

Just download latest map from skoda update portal  and follow official manual for update.

BTW: your map is 2020, not 2016

thanks for the tips.  I've tried to download the (14Gb) update file 3 times now, each time getting this error message as I try and open the folder.  My laptop usually opens zipped folders.  ANy suggestions, or should I just wait for Skoda to find/fix whatever bug there is?

I seem to recall this might be a legacy zip issue if either you are on a FAT32 file system, or an older version of Windows. There used to be a 4GB limit.

If the three copies of the mapping zip file you have downloaded are identical you probably have a successful map download. Try downloading and using Peazip ( https://peazip.github.io/ ).
