Bluetooth audio and Columbus bewilderment

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I picked up my 2010 Octi L&K on Friday. So far I’m really impressed with the car!

I seem to have ended up in some confusion with the Bluetooth. My car is equipped with Columbus and Maxidot however being a 2010 I wasn’t able to make phone calls with my iPhone.

I’ve replaced the BT control module for 5K0035730D and whilst this allows for Bluetooth streaming, albeit through 1 set of speakers I can’t seem to change tracks from the head unit or display track names.

I’ve seen a 3C8035730C unit for the car and wanted to know if this would A. Let me change tracks from my phone and view the song name playing? B. If this would be plug and play or if coding is required.

I have tried to research this but I seemed to end up with more questions then answers

I think this is more a problem with the Columbus software. Depending on the age and software level of the unit, early ones didn't have the functionality for those features I seem to recall.
