Just an update,

as I’m already 10 months into a 24 months lease, and with a baby due any time, I decided to not bother spending £150 to get Thule feet and fitting kit to fit the bars I already had, especially as I’ll be lucky if I’ll need to use roof bars half a dozen times over next year in a bit.

I managed to find a set of cheap and cheerful Modula ones for £80 delivered that’ll do the job I need them to do!

They’d be ok as a general roof rack maybe for a roof box but I’m not sure if trust them with bike carriers with them being extendable.

David did you get these? What are they like if you did?

Yep, I got them.

They look like they’ll do me just fine, easy to fit and take my roofbox easily and securely.

Good buy for the price!

You could well be right regarding bike carriers, however it’s only a roof box I’ll be using it with and even then I’ll be lucky to use them half a dozen times

Finally got my roof bars and box on.
Bars are Farad wing bars and so far seem good.

Ended up with a Halfords roof box as “ The Roof box” Company let me down with delivery before my trip.
