Engine Oil Fuse

Featured Replies

Hallo, Everyone. If I may ask you, where to find exact fuse of Skoda Superb Engine Oil Fuse and Engine Fuse. Because my oil indicator and Engine is turn on Yellow. I don't know what is the exact issue of my car, because I've already changed my oil and there are no problems with my car while I used it. Hope you guys can help me to solve.

Cheers!

There won't be a fuse for this.

The oil pressure switch is connected to the ECU.

You need a fault code scan to see what the actual problem is.

The oil light being on indicates a problem with oil pressure.

And the engine light being on could mean anything. Impossible to tell without diagnostics.

Could be the oil level sensor, if the oil warning light is yellow, rather than red.

There is a fuse for that, No. 5, but it also feeds several other things so is unlikely to be at fault.

Check the wiring near the sensor in the sump for any breakages.

Hi, Wino. Thankyou for the replied. I'm a newbie in this car category. So I don't really understand where is where. But I'm gonna try to looking for it under my hood. Thanks!

Which engine does your car have?

You will need to look from under the car to see the sensor in the oil sump, if there is one.

It Škoda Superb Year One. 1.8T. I don't exactly know how does it looks like, but I'm about going to check it out

That is  the one. :)

First thing is to check that the connector is pushed on fully; it looks like it may not be?

The connector latch may be broken if it pushes further on but does not 'click' into position.

Yeah, i don't feels the click when i connect it. Then what should i do?

If the broken part is in the wiring connector (probable) rather than the sensor, you could replace that connector.  There will be a part number written on it somewhere in tiny characters.

Or you could maybe find a way to fix it in the fully-engaged position. Not much to attach it to though unless you use superglue or something.

I just checked my engine oil. And the oil level is bit more than it should be. Do you think it because of it? Even it just over 1cm more than how it suppose to be

1cm is a lot of extra oil; you should remove some of that to get the level at or below maximum on the dipstick.  You didn't maybe mean 1mm?

But I doubt that has anything to do with the oil level warning light, the loose connector is much more likely to be causing that.

Your choice of method, but my favourite is to renew the oil filter.

I would like to change the oil filter myself, but the tools i bought for it just some pieces of crabs. So i just change the oil since then without changing the oil filter yet.
