Hello guys, I tried to update my Skoda Fabio Bolero radio, since I have sometimes the annoying error, that CarPlay does not connect properly. I also bought a wireless CarPlay adapter, still does not work from time to time.

 

After asking for the newest update file here in the forum, I tried different variants to update my radio, but alway eher this error:

 

Error: no data available. Please insert a source with software update data or check the source"

 

Fehler:

keine daten verfügbar bitte legen sie eine quelle mit daten zur software aktualisierung ein oder prüfen sie die quelle.

 

Device:

Car: Skoda Fabia 3 (III)

Radio: Bolero

Partnumber: 5Q0035840A

Hardware: H24

Software: 0245

 

Media Codec: 2101.0.0.10

 

USB Stick / SD Card,

Fat32 / exFAT

 

Package: MST2_SK_ZR_P0253T

 

ZIP file was extracted into root of usb/sd, once into Root and once into the foldername of file (MST2_SK_ZR_P0253T).

 

Update does not work neither way I tried.

 

Do you have any idea why it does not work?

You should start it from Service Menu - long press MENU button.

Thank you very much, this solved my issue. With a fat32 formatted sd Card It was possible (it let’s you choose between usb,sd,cd)
