I'm just in the process of replacing my electric struts with gas struts. I've disconnected the wiring which leads to the struts inside the rear panels, the locking mechanism works ok so I'm now going to remove the cabling completely but I'm trying to sources oval blanking grommets to seal the holes. the ebay sizes don't seem to match the holes which are 17mm x 24mm. Does anyone know a good source for said gommets please?  If I can't get the grommets I'll try to ad-hoc a couple out of old cycle inner tube and supper glue.

Try searching for "blanking plugs" since a grommet is an edging strip, not a plug.

Don't really know where I'm looking, hopefully you do. Item 5 seems like the closest match to the hole dims.
